Islamabad: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday telephoned Inspector General (IG) Sindh Mushtaq Shah and ordered him to present the investigation report regarding the Karachi incident within 24 hours.
The Interior Minister said that a rally without the permission of Sindh government is violation of law.
“Now no one will be allowed to carry out a protest in the city without the permission of the government,” he said.
The minister also directed IG Sindh to probe regarding the miscreants who have come from interior Sindh to deteriorate peace process in the city.
“PML-N along with Sindhi nationalists is creating law and order situation in Karachi,” he added.
Rehman Malik further directed law enforcement authorities to utilize all sources in order to maintain peace in the city.
However in recent development, the interior ministry has formed a committee, headed by Additional IG Sindh Akhter Gorchani, which would probe regarding the incident.
The committee would consist of officials from Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Federal Intelligence Agency (FIA) and other intelligence agencies.
