Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif will not attend the dinner hosted by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in the honour of visiting Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said a statement.

According the statement Mr Sharif would meet the Turkish prime minister on Tuesday separately.

The prime minister had invited all the heads of political parties in the dinner, including Nawaz Sharif and Imran Khan.

Mr Sharif has been running an anti-Gilani campaign since the Supreme Court conviction of the prime minister in contempt case.

Sources said that the PML-N has decided to not t protest against Gilani during Erdogan’s speech to the joint sitting of the parliament.
