Lahore: Police on Friday arrested several members of The Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT), student wing of Jamate Islami, as they took out rally against the killing of a student and evacuation of students from Punjab University hostel.
Police resorted to tear gas as the IJT started its rally from Nasir Bagh that led to a clash. The students hurled stones as police arrested several IJT members.
Classes at the Punjab University remained suspended while Mal road was blocked by erecting barbed wire.
