Baghdad: At least five people were killed and 24 0thers wounded when blast ripped in a market near Baghdad, media reported on Thursday.
According to reports a bomb exploded in a restaurant in a popular market in Jisr Diyala, Southeast of Baghdad, at around 8:00 pm (1700 GMT), killing at least five people and injuring 24 others.
Violence has diminished in Iraq since its heights in 2006 and 2007, but there are still regular attacks in the country.
In April, 126 Iraqis died in attacks nationwide, compared with 112 in March, the lowest figure since the 2003 US-led invasion that ousted Saddam Hussein.
