Lahore: Students suffered in university of Punjab as all he teaching staff went on strike and suspended all the classes on Thursday against alleged torture on a teacher by the students.
The administration has claimed that the protestors of a student wing have mishandled a teacher while protest on Wednesday against the murder of a students. They added that they would continue the strike until the provision of security.
However, the students have denied the allegation and said that they had not mishandled any teacher of institution during their protest. “We even could not think to do so,” they told this reporter.
Dozens of students on Wednesday staged and protest at vice-chancellor office and demanded the administration to arrest the killers of, Awais Aqeel, an activisit and senior office bearer of a student organisation, Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT).
Aqeel was gunned down while two other persons were critically injured by three armed assailants at hostel No. 16 in Muslim town Police area of Lahore.
