Mumbai: Kolkata Knight Riders after losing a tough match with Chennai Super Kings is now once again back on winning track as they easily defeated Mumbai Indian by 32 runs in the 65th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India.
The Mumbai Indians who were chasing a reasonable target of 141 runs failed in their attempt and bowled out at 108 runs in the 19th over. The Mumbai batting line totally collapsed with all batsmen except Tendulkar 27 and Karthik 21 failed to cross 20’s.
The Kolkata bowlers bowled exceptionally well and restricted their opponents on 108 successfully defending a reasonable target of 141 runs. Narine who took four wickets was the leading bowler from Kolkata side along with Balaji and Kallis sharing two wickets each. Shakaib Al Hasan and Abdulla also took one wicket each.
Earlier 41 runs by Tiwary helped Kolkata to set a target of 141 runs.
