Lahore: Leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) asserted that provinces were also responsible for load-shedding in the country as they had not started any development project since the 18th amendment.
Talking to press conference in Lahore, PTI leaders Jehangir Tareen, Shafqat Mehmood and Ishaq Khakwani said that in order to overcome the power crisis, the government had issued bonds of worth Rs450 billion which would be a great load on the shoulders of coming generation.
They demanded that an amount of Rs80 billion be given to power companies.
They added that the formation of Seraiki province is a reality, however, a referendum is necessary for Bahawalpur province. Punjab government was only working for the development of Lahore, they said.
