IPL 2012: David Hussey shines; Punjab beat Deccan by four wickets in a thriller

Chandigarh: Kings XI Punjab defeated Deccan Chargers by four wickets after a thrilling match of Indian Premier League (IPL) played at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Chandigarh, India.

The Australian cricketer David Hussey played an exceptional innings for Punjab which helped his team to chase a target of 191 runs in the last ball of the innings for the loss of six wickets. David Hussey who scored 65 runs remained the leading run-scorer in the innings accompanied by Azhar Mahmood 31 Gurkeerat Singh 29 and Mandeep Singh 28.

The Deccan bowlers were unable to build a wall against the blistering innings of Hussey and took only six wickets in the innings. Dale Steyn and Christian took two wickets from Deccan side followed by Gony and Mishra who shared one wicket each.

Earlier Dhawan’s 71 runs and Cameron White’s 67 runs helped their team (Deccan Chargers) to set a huge target of 191 runs.
