Blast hits Peshawar for fourth consecutive day; 7 injured

Peshawar: A road side explosion on fourth consecutive day targeting the Police check-post in the provincial metropolis Peshawar on Sunday morning left at least 7 people injured.

Police said that the bomb had been planted near a police check-post near Mal Mandi on Ring Road. The blast damaged a vehicle passing through the area at the time of the blast.

Police officials confirmed that the injured including one child had been transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Superintendent Police Rural Shafeeh Ullah told reporters that the blast had targeted police check-post and it had partially damaged a wall of the post. He said that they were conducting raids in the city to arrests the militants and criminals.

Nobody claimed the responsibility for the blast.
