Pakistan doesn’t want to confine its relations to US: Gilani

London: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) jointly achieved several high value targets linked to al-Qaeda.

In an interview with a British  television on Friday, the Pakistani prime minister said that Islamabad didn’t want to confine its international relations only to the United States.

To a question, Mr Gilani said that according to Pakistani law no foreigner could travel without the permission by the interior ministry.

Answering a question regarding Afghanistan, the primer said that Pakistan wanted the Afghan issue resolved as per the wishes of Afghan people.”We want a political solution to Afghan conflict instead of war,”

Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is on 5-day UK visit amid a political crisis back in Pakistan that has been haunting the nation since the country’s top court convicted him in contempt of court case.
