Islamabad: US Defence Minister Leon Panetta and CIA Chief  David Petraeus are looking for a scapegoat for their failures in Afghanistan, said Farrukh saleem, political commentator and defence analyst in an article  published in The News International on Friday.

According to Saleem , keeping in view  track-record of the duo, it could be said that they would introduce elements that have a potential of destabilizing Pakistan in order to weaken Pakistan’s will to safeguard its interests in the region.

He said the CIA, whose ‘militarization’ was complete after the induction of General David Petraeus as Director CIA, is all sold to the US Department of Defense. With the CIA on board, Leon Panetta, who ran the CIA from February 2009 till July 2011, is now comfortably seated to drive America’s policy in Pakistan.
