Damascus: At least 55 people have been killed and more than 50 injured in twin suicide car-bomb attacks in Syrian capital of Damascus, media reports said on Thursday.
According to reports, the blasts occurred near a military intelligence building during morning rush hour.
The government blames the attack on “terrorists”. The opposition says it was carried out by the government itself to discredit rebel forces.
The international peace envoy on Syria, Kofi Annan, said the Damascus blasts were counter-productive for all parties.
