Mumbai: Sizzling Bollywood’s dance diva Malaika Arora-Khan on Tuesday said that Rekha is a Diva, a celebrated female singer, and for him and a diva is someone larger than life, it’s a quality difficult to attain.
Malaika, who is busy shooting for the sequel of Dabangg 2 is also dancing to the Telegu version of Munni badnaam hui for the South-remake of the film, said that Rekhan is the one who has the power to make you tongue-tied, make your jaw drop.
“It’s a similar situation; the song is different but kickass!” she said adding that she is not overly-ambitious.
“See, I got married quite early. And then I had a son. I had a family. And this may be hard to believe but I am a complete family kinda girl. Both my sister and I always loved to be homebodies. Yes, I love the glamour industry. I love the work that I’ve done so far. But it’s not as if I have this biting ambition to be at the top,” she says.
When she’s not working on films and item songs, she’s busy working on her marriage.
“I’ve been with Arbaaz for 18 years now. We dated for four years before we got married. It’s a lot of work to make a marriage work. Just because you have been married for a while doesn’t mean you can sit back and relax. You still have to be on your toes. A marriage needs constant attention,” she says.
