India visit: Hillary Clinton joins chorus against Pakistan

New Delhi: US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has added to chorus against Pakistan on Tuesday while addressing a joint press conference with Indian Foreign Minister SM Krishna.

Clinton, who is in India, said that Pakistan would have to take measures against the perpetrators of Mumbai attacks. She said that Islamabad should also eliminate terrorist sanctuaries on its territory.

“Bountry on Hafiz Saeed  will show solidarity with India,” she said and added Pakistan should ensure its soil was not being used against others. Clinton claimed that Mr Saeed was a perpetrator of Mumbai attacks.

After maligning Pakistan just to appease her Indian counterpart, the secretary also urged India to reduce its oil imports from Iran. She said that there would be negative implications if international community reduced pressure on Iran.

 She applauded New Delhi for its efforts for peace and support for Afghan people.” We support India’s efforts for Afghan peace,” she said.
