Lahore: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has expressed the hope that India will take measures for mutual trade.
Expressing at inaugural session of two-day economic conference organized by Jang Group and Times of India on Monday, the prime minister said that improving relation with India was Pakistan’s policy and both the countries would have to learn lesion from history.
“Illiteracy and poverty must not destiny of people of Pakistan and India,”Mr Gilani remarked. He said that non-state elements were common enemies of both the countries and they would have to be defeated.
He said that regional peace was vital for the economic growth, adding that Pakistan and India have significant share in global trade.
“Both the countries are passing through a difficult time,”the prime minister said. “We have to stop those, who want to sabotage efforts being put in place for peace”
