Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) lawmaker from Lyari, Nabil Gabol has said that Lyari operation was a conspiracy against the PPP.

Talking to a private television on Monday, he termed the operation as joke and demanded that victims of the operation be compensated.

Gabol, who has long been demanding an operation after imposing curfew, said that he was demanding action against criminal. “I have never asked to besiege whole the locality,” he added.

He said that 10 innocent people, including a child, were killed during the operation, adding that he was also saddened by the killing of police officials in Lyari.

Gabol said that investigation should be carried out into the Lyari operation.
