Karachi: At least three  people, including two political workers were killed and two others injured in a firing incident in Orangi Town area of Karachi, police said on Saturday.

 The police said that the incident took place near Katti Pahari area and two of the the deceased were associated with a political party.However they didn’t tell the name of their to whom they were affiliated. The deceased were identified as Muhamamd Muzammil and Irfan.

The dead and injured were taken to a nearby hospital. Panic gripped the area as unidentified men took the streets and restored to aerial firing.  Two motorcycle and a truck were torched following the incident. The police have blocked the road leading to Qasba colony.

Additional contingent of police and the Rangers were sent to the area to bring the situation under control.
