PPP prepares for tit for tat response to PML-N’s anti-Gilani campaign

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari presided over a meeting of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh chapter leaders on Friday. Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, Sirajul Haq Durrani and Murad Ali Shah and others attended the meeting.

Sources said that the issue of Lyari also came under discussion. However, the leaders focused on chalking out a policy in response to  Nawaz-League protest against Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

Zardari told the leaders that the Nawaz-League would not be given free hand and the PPP will hold rallies in reply to their rallies.

According to the sources , it was decided that the PPP would hold first public meeting on May 12 in Obaro, a town of Sindh that  borders Punjab.

The sources said that the PPP wanted to play Sindh card after Muslim League-Nawaz announced to launch anti-Gilani movement.
