Mumbai: Mumbai Indians has defeated Deccan Chargers by five wickets in the 40th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, India.
The Mumbai with some hindrances in their innings chased a low scoring target of 101 runs in the 19th over for the loss of five wickets. Rohit Sharma played a patient innings of 42 runs on 48 balls. The other batsmen failed to cross 20’s.
The Deccan bowlers bowled exceptionally well and gave tough time to Mumbai batsmen but failed to stop them from achieving the target. Dale Steyn who took 2 wickets bowled exceptionally well followed by Singh, Reddy and Duminy who shared one wicket each.
Earlier the Deccan batsmen failed to stay on the wicket and lose early wickets which restricted them to 100 runs.
