Lahore: Wheat procurement and provision of gunny bags had been started in Rahimyar Khan and Sadiqabad, said Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister for Food Department Muhammad Manshaullah Butt.
He said wheat harvesting was being delayed due to rain in some districts. Arrangements to purchase 3.5 million metric tonnes of wheat had been completed by the Punjab food department and provision of gunny bags would be ensured without delay from May 1, he added.
