Multan: Doctors at Nishtar Hospital, Multan operated successfully on Saturday on the baby girl born with three arms and removed the extra arm attached to her back.

Headed by Dr Haroon Khursheed, a team of surgeons operated on the baby to perform first operation of its kind at the hospital.

The three-armed baby was born in the Taunsa Sharif sub-division of Dera Ghazi Khan last Monday (April 23).

The baby had polymelia, a rare genetic disorder, which causes a person to be born with extra limbs.
