Islamabad: In a country of four seasons, majority of Pakistanis welcome the spring season and fear the summers, reveals a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan issued here on Friday.

As many as 61% describe spring as their most favoured, while 46% describe summers as the season they find least welcome.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “There are different seasons in the year. Which season do you like personally?” Responding to this the most welcome season was spring, described so by 61%. Others on this list were: 21% welcome winters, 7% welcome monsoon, 6% welcome autumn while 3% welcome summers. However 2% did not give a view.

In a follow-up question, the respondents were asked “Which of the season you like the least?” Responding to this, summers topped the list, described so by 46%. Others on the list were: Spring 13%, 12% do not unwelcome autumn, 11% unwelcome winter while another 11% unwelcome monsoon. However 7% did not give a view.
