Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has said that Mr Yousuf Raza Gilani was no longer a prime minister and he should immediately step down from his portfolio.
Speaking to media on Saturday, Khan reiterated that nobody could remain the prime minister after being convicted by a court of law.
Those who were busy in supporting Mr Gilani, were afraid of being convicted too for their deeds.”They know they there would be their turn after Zardari”.
Khan on Thursday dubbed Gilani’s conviction in contempt case, a gift of independent judiciary. The PTI Chairman called upon the premier to immediately step down as there was no moral high ground for him to remain in the office.
He claimed that he would arrange massive show in Islamabad in response to PPP demonstrations against the SC ruling.
“I challenge PPP, took as many people as you can to streets against Supreme Court and then i will show you how massive you are arranged,” Khan added.
He said that he would show the rulers what the people will is.
The PTI chief said that the government had nothing to do with the people as it was busy in making fortune.
Imran Khan said that the government was hiding corruption in the name of democracy.
