Gilani is not a convict, claims Shujaat

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain claimed that Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was not a convict so far.

Talking to media on Saturday, he said that the prime minister would be considered convict if the Supreme Court rejected his appeal against its orders.

Hussain said that filing an appeal was right of the prime minister.

Replying a query regarding Nawaz-League, he said that Sharif-brothers exploiting the situation after the apex court orders. He said that the Nawaz leaders should have been charged with contempt for attacking the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

He said that Chaudhry Nisar was only boasting. To another question regarding the schedule of next general election, Shujaat Hussain said that the election would be held in time.
