London: A man has held 4 people hostages in a building in London, news agencies reported on Friday.
According to reports, the man carrying a gas barrel held four people hostages after authorities refused to issue him driving license.
Police confirmed the incident and told media that bomb disposal squad was called in and the building was surrounded by heavy contingent of police.
Meanwhile, police were also engaging the abductor in talks to secure the release of the four people.
The police said that the man threatened to blow himself up. Police have also deployed sharp-shooters at nearby buildings.
