Washington: United States (US) State Department Spokesperson Victoria Nuland on Thursday said that Gilani’s conviction by apex court was Pakistan’s internal matter.
Giving a briefing to media at State Department, Nuland refused to talk regarding the issue and showed hope that the matter would be resolved in accordance to the constitution of Pakistan.
“Pakistan’s internal crisis would not effect their foreign policy,” she said.
The spokesperson further said that US special envoy to Pak-Afghan Marc Grossman met different officials in Pakistan and his meetings were successful.
She further said that issue of restoration of Nato supplies and coalition support fund were discussed in the meetings.
