Dhaka: The Dhaka High court Thursday stayed the decision of sending Bangladesh Cricket team to Pakistan for four weeks.
Two-member bench of the high court comprising Justice Sheikh Hasan Arif and Justice Farid Ahmad heard the writ petition, filed by A Supreme Court lawyer Kamal Hossin Miazi and a private university teacher Khandakar Didar-Us Salam, and remarked that Bangladesh team could not visit Pakistan for four weeks.
The BD cricket team is scheduled to visit Pakistan this month to play a T20 and one-day match against Pakistan on April 29-30.
On Wednesday, Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Zaka Ashraf told reporters in Lahore that Pakistan would provide foolproof security to the visitors. He said that International Cricket Council had approved Bangladesh’s tour to Pakistan.
