Memogate: RIM has no record of Haqqani-Ijaz BBMs

Islamabad: BlackBerry company Research in Motion (RIM) has said that it has no record of BBM messages of Hussain Haqqani and Mansoor Ijaz.

Hussain Haqqani had sent a request to the RIM over memo commission’s instructions, seeking record of exchange of messages between him and Mansoor Ijaz during May to October 2011.

A private television channel on Tuesday, reported that RIM has responded to Haqqani that the company had no policy of keeping the record for such a long duration.

It said that the company had no record regarding the exchange of BBMs between Hussain Haqqani and Mansoor Ijaz during the period which had been asked by the applicant.

To see a non-issue like the
memo getting so much attention while all else is put on the backburner is quite
tragic. Pakistan is already going through one of the roughest patches in its
history. Now there is a likely confrontation between three state institutions —
the military, the judiciary and the executive — based on a piece of paper whose
origins are not yet known. Turning Pakistan into a laughingstock is something
Mansoor Ijaz has already achieved but the real litmus test would be the day he
comes here with solid evidence in hand.

Good news, he is not against Pakistan, army, ISI, Govt, or nuclear program, he
only writes against it and spits venom about it on TV. He is confessing to be
related to two dozen foreign agencies, yet our SC and HC would go to any length
to authenticate his statements. How many judges of high judiciary are chasing
and fooled by this infamous agent?
