Peshawar: A bomb exploded in Peshawar in the early hours of Saturday, killing excise officer, police said.
They said that excise officer Khaista Mai was killed when a explosive device exploded outside his residence in Takhtabad Daduzai area of the provincial capital.
The police said that the police was killed on the spot. His body was shifted to a government-run hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The motives behind the killing was yet to be ascertained.
