Moscow: At least 12 people were killed as fire engulfed a market warehouse in Southern Moscow, news agencies reported on Tuesday.

The reports said that the dead were migrant workers. According to the reports the building was used as living quarters and warehouse for the supermarket.

The blaze hit Kachalovsky market hours after a fire at a skyscraper in Moscow, in which no-one was hurt, according to the reports.
