Peshawar: At least eight people were killed and 13 others were injured when a passenger bus fell into a ravine in Lower Dir on Wednesday.

Police told The News Tribe correspondent that the bus was traveling toward Upper Dir from Timergara area, adding that 21 passengers, including women and children, were onboard.

Police said the accident occurred due to over speeding and slippery road conditions caused by snowfall.

The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
