Islamabad: A new survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan in December has said that 27% claim to celebrate New Year as a festival.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Some people celebrate New Year while some people do not. Do you celebrate New Year like other traditional ceremonies?”
Responding to this 27% claim that they celebrate New Year eve like any other traditional ceremonies whereas 73% claim that they do not celebrate New Year at all.
There is a slight increase in number of people celebrating New year eve; they have risen from 24% to 27%.
