New York: Occupy Wall Street has planned to introduce an album for getting some benefits for the movement which will be released online sometime this winter.

Big names including Jackson Browne, Third Eye Blind, Crosby & Nash, Devo, and Lucinda Williams will appear on an album, to be called Occupy This Album. . Jason Samel, who puts together the disc, is aiming to raise between $1 million and $2 million. “It’s really going to be an amazing help for years to come,” he said.

The album will feature a mix of live tracks and new songs. DJ Logic, Ladytron, Warren Haynes, Toots and the Maytals, Mike Limbaud, Aeroplane Pageant, and Yo La Tengo will also appear on the album, as well as some acts that may have a more limited appeal: Michael Moore will sing on the album, and it will feature the sounds of the drummers who kept up an incessant beat in New York’s Zuccotti Park.

Occupy Wall Street might not receive donation from Jay-Z when he designed and tried to sale T-shirts inspired by the movement

The proceeds will go through non-profit organization Alliance for Global Justice. The plan is that half of the money will benefit the New York movement that is sounding off about corporate greed and corruption. The other half, meanwhile, will fund other charity projects across the country and around the world.

One of the songs from the upcoming album has been released. It’s called “If There Ever Was a Time” which is performed by Third Eye Blind to address the movement.
