According to The News Tribe correspondent, SSP South Naeem Sheikh directed the police to cordoned off all entry and exit points go to Dr Mirza’s house in Khayaban-e-Shamsheer area of Defence. The SSP was leading the police team.
Pakistani media reported that more than one and a half dozens police mobiles were seen patrolling surrounding the house of Dr Mirza.
Sources said it could be a tactic to pressurize Mirza to avoid passing comments against PPP leaderships. However, it is not confirm whether the police have been deployed due to security reason or to house arrest Dr Mirza.
Dr Zulfiqar Mirza was also in his house, the sources added.
SP Tariq Dharejo, however, said that the security of Dr Mirza has been beefed up owing to security concern.
