FC to take charge of security in Sui: Army Chief

Gawadar: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has said that Frontier Corps (FC) would take charge in Sui area of Balochistan within two months while the army would remain in cantonments.

He said that no army soldier would be deployed in Sui for operation.

Speaking at Government Institute of Technology in Gawadar on Monday Kaynai said that the Pakistan Army had the ability to defend the country, adding that only the army is not sufficient to safeguard the country and that the solidarity of people is also vital for the pupose.

Kayani said that the army wanted to see Pakistan as stronger country, adding that the people were the strength of the military.

The army chief announced to establish a medical college in Balochistan.

He said that presence of army in the province was to assist development process.
